Calling all music lovers, for help !?

I need to find a song to sing for my midterm it has to be either art song, folk song or theater. I've been looking everywhere, and now I need help.I was thinking maybe a German folk song BUT I cant find one that would be good for a beginner since; I am not that pro at German.Any ideas would be great.
